GitHub Copilot usage limits by plan
Monthly allowance of GitHub AI Credits (1 credit = $0.01). Chat, agent mode, code review, cloud agent and CLI consume credits; code completions are unlimited on paid plans. Allowance resets monthly.
When you hit the limit: Set a dollar budget for paid usage at $0.01/credit, switch to a cheaper model, or wait for the monthly reset.
